Everything you need to know about Bureau Berix — our data, methodology, pricing, and how we work with clients.
About the Data
Bureau Berix provides structured data intelligence across 9 domains: Economic, Social, Entrepreneurial, Financial, Banking, Demographics, Commercial, Market Intelligence, and Governmental. Each domain covers Lebanon-specific datasets sourced from verified primary and secondary sources.
Our 9 domains span the full spectrum of Lebanese intelligence: Economic (GDP, trade, inflation, sector performance), Social (education, health, labour, welfare), Entrepreneurial (startups, SMEs, business formation), Financial (capital markets, investment flows), Banking (Banque du Liban data, sector health), Demographics (population, migration, household data), Commercial (retail, real estate, consumer behaviour), Market Intelligence (competitive landscape, pricing, demand signals), and Governmental (public finance, policy, regulatory data).
We aggregate from verified primary sources — official Lebanese government records, Banque du Liban publications, international databases (World Bank, IMF, UN agencies), and proprietary research. Every dataset is cross-referenced and documented with full source metadata so you know exactly where each data point originates.
Update frequency varies by domain and dataset type. Macroeconomic indicators are updated quarterly or annually in line with official publication cycles. Banking and financial data is updated monthly. Demographic and social data follows census and survey cycles. We always indicate the last-updated date and source publication date for every dataset.
Yes. As of 2024, Berix is the only structured, commercial data intelligence provider focused exclusively on Lebanon across economic, social, financial, and demographic domains. We fill a gap that has existed for decades in the Lebanese data landscape.
Purchasing & Pricing
We offer flexible pricing structures: one-time dataset purchases for specific research needs, recurring data subscriptions for ongoing access to updated datasets, and custom research engagements for bespoke projects. Pricing is based on the scope, complexity, and exclusivity of the data requested.
Absolutely. Custom dataset requests are one of our most common engagements. If you have a specific research question, decision to support, or data gap to fill, our team will scope the project with you and deliver a tailored dataset or report. Contact us to start the conversation.
Yes. For most standard datasets, we can provide a data sample or methodology brief so you can evaluate quality and relevance before committing. Reach out via our contact form and specify the domain you are interested in.
Data is delivered in the format that best suits your workflow — typically Excel (XLSX), CSV, or PDF reports. For clients with technical infrastructure, we can discuss structured data delivery via API or direct database integration. Format preferences are confirmed at the start of each engagement.
Methodology & Quality
Our methodology combines primary source aggregation (official government and institutional publications), secondary source cross-referencing (international databases and research bodies), and proprietary field research where primary data is unavailable or incomplete. All sources are documented and traceable.
Every dataset undergoes a multi-step quality process: source verification, cross-referencing against at least two independent sources, internal review by our research team, and documentation of any known data gaps or limitations. We are transparent about uncertainty — we never present estimates as facts.
Our primary sources are official and institutional — Banque du Liban, the Lebanese Ministry of Finance, Central Administration of Statistics, World Bank, IMF, and UN agencies. These are the most authoritative sources available for Lebanon. Proprietary research follows documented methodologies available to clients upon request.
Access & Delivery
Standard datasets are typically delivered within 1–7 business days. Custom research or complex multi-domain reports may take 1–2 weeks depending on scope. We always confirm a delivery timeline before beginning any engagement — no surprises.
API access is available for select datasets and for clients with ongoing subscription arrangements. If API integration is important to your workflow, mention it when you contact us and we will discuss the technical options available.
We are currently developing a client portal for dataset management and delivery. In the meantime, all datasets and reports are delivered directly to your designated contact via secure file transfer. We will notify existing clients when the portal launches.
Compliance & Privacy
Yes. All data we provide is aggregated and anonymised at the population or entity level — we do not provide personally identifiable information (PII). Our data practices comply with applicable data protection regulations, and we are happy to provide a data processing overview for clients with specific compliance requirements.
Sensitive data categories — such as financial sector health indicators or governmental fiscal data — are handled with strict internal access controls. We do not publish or share raw sensitive data outside of formal client engagements, and all client requests are treated as confidential.
Upon delivery, clients receive a licence to use the data for their stated purpose. Bureau Berix retains the underlying intellectual property of compiled datasets and methodologies. Specific licensing terms — including exclusivity options — are outlined in the engagement agreement and can be negotiated based on your needs.
Completely. We treat all client inquiries, data requests, and engagements as strictly confidential. We do not share client identities or the nature of their data needs with any third party, ever.

Absolutely — this is one of our most common requests. Many clients come to us with a decision to make, not a specific dataset in mind. Our team will consult with you to identify exactly what data would best serve your purpose. You don't need to know the answer before you call us.
